Football Photos

I got to take some photos for the Munising/Negaunee High School Football game last Friday.
I'm glad I'm not a full time photographer, but I enjoy shooting football.

A nice place to visit

TV6 News has a series called "Trips on a Tank" which showcases places to go and things to do locally from Marquette.
Even though the title of the episode is Seney, Germfask is the main attraction.

Trip to New York City

Phil's daughter Megan graduated from Cardozo School of Law in Manhattan on May 29th, and I went with Phil and Bob to see her.

Phil and I got up at 4 am to drive to the airport. The plane in MQT took off about 7 and we arrived in Detroit about 9, I had window seat on both flights, and had great views. We landed at LaGuardia around 11.
We caught a cab and drove into the city across the 59th street bridge and checked into hotel at 47th and 7th about Noon. Megan showed up as we were checking in. We put our bags in our room and walked to Angelo's on 57th street and had a pizza before heading over to St. Patricks Cathedral on 5th Avenue.
Then we met Tim and his brother in front of Rockefeller Center and went up at 2. The view from up top was very cool.

We made our way to Grand Central and took the subway back to 47 street and the hotel. We got ready and got on the subway to the award ceremony at 5.

After the awards we all went to dinner at Knickerbockers on University Place. When we were done eating dinner, Bobby Phil and I walked back to the hotel up

and by Union Square, Empire State Building, Union Square, Public Library, Diamond District, etc. back to 47 and Broadway. Phil stayed at the hotel but Bobby and I went and walked around Times Square. Very busy
Next morning, I got up and went for a walk about 6:30 am. The streets were very quiet. I was back to room at 7 and we took off for the Hudson river. We didn't get far and realized we better just head to Lincoln Center. We finally got on the subway to make it there on time. Lincoln Center was very impressive.
After the graduation we took

made our way to the Hudson and got a quick boat ride down south past the statue of Liberty and back.

Then we caught a cab back to 47th street.
Phil and Bob went to dinner and I went to Free Friday night at the Museum of Modern Art at 53rd and 5th. On the way i got a plate of food from a cart. It was very good. MOMA was impressive.

I walked back to the Hotel about 10, and when Phil and Bob got back, we went for a walk. We stopped at the wax museum on 42nd, walked around some more, had a few beers at a bar on 47th, and went back to bed.

Got up early and caught the Subway to 79th street and the Museum of Natural History. It wasn't open yet, so we walked Central Park West all the way down to Columbus Circle,

got something to eat, and took the Subway back to the Museum.

The museum was very cool, we spent quite a bit of time there before catching the subway back up to 42nd street. Back to the hotel and a quick slice of pizza around noon. Coming out from eating pizza, it started raining, we only had a few minutes before heading to the airport anyway.
We caught a car out to LaGuardia and when we left New York city it was raining hard going into the Holland Tunnel. When we came out the other side, it was sunny. Weather stayed good, and I got a good seat for flying back. We made our way back to Marquette around 9:00 p.m.
Everything went great!
